Here are some useful tips:
- Find out which schools are in your target area: upmystreet and parentcentre can help
- Check out their Ofsted report: Ofsted
- Ask for a copy of their prospectus
- Visit them all - you can't really judge a school without seeing it during a normal day
- Meet the Heads and interview THEM - they probably need you as much as you need them
- Ask to talk to a parent governor for more information
- Check which middle or senior schools they feed into
- Check what type of school they are
