The Governement are talking about extending their 'better parenting' programme across the country by offering parenting classes to those who feel they need them. I think their hearts are in the right place on this one but as usual the ideas are put across badly in the media - I think we'd all agree that we can do some things better or differently but expecting us to be perfect parents is too much (and a little dull!).
One organisation worth checking out is the Parenting Forum at www.parenting-forum.org.uk.
The Gingerbread charity is setting up classes for lone parents - why not take a look at the Gingerbread website?
